Unnecessary things we carry : Homo-motus

2019 drawing on graph paper casting plaster, clay, performance 15min

The machine makes efficient movements. It works in an efficient manner in perfect command. But there are certainly inefficient movements in humans. Some actions even go beyond meaningless, to become wasteful. But I thought that meaning could come from the meaningless movements. The movements of inefficiency become gestures that have meaning in the consciousness of each human being. I fossilize the leftovers through the acts of inefficiency and dig them up.
In the end, humans have the power to give meaning and work to prove their existence through fossil extraction.
